Warranty disclaimer:
Grout Nurse warrants to Customer that all work will be performed in a commercially reasonable manner, free from faults and defects, and in conformance with industry standard practices and/or this Agreement for a period of 6 Months from the date the work or services are complete.
During this coverage period, Grout Nurse will correct any defective workmanship, and if materials or or products are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, will repair or replace that defective product or material at no charge for labor.
Grout Nurse does NOT cover products or materials as those warranties are provided by the manufacturers or suppliers. The terms of manufacturer or supplier’s warranty are incorporated by reference and shall form the sole basis for relief for Owner as to those defects.
The following conditions and/or restrictions are NOT covered by and will void this limited warranty entirely:
- Misuse: Any work that has been subject to accident, misuse, abuse, civil disturbance, Natural Disaster or other abnormal conditions beyond the Grout Nurse’s control.
- Materials: Any materials or workmanship provided by anyone other than Grout Nurse issuing this warranty, including but not limited to work that has been modified, altered, defaced and/or repaired by others.
- Tight Joint Installation: Grout Nurse does not recommend, nor guarantee any installation where colored grout is used in a tight joint installation instead of white, which minimizes the visual effects of irregularities.
- Color Matching: Grout Nurse will use its best efforts to come as close as possible to matching the grout to the existing conditions but cannot guarantee to reproduce with precision the shade of caulk or grout.
- Sealing: The sealant used by Grout Nurse will repel everyday greases and oils but not strong chemicals or acid stains such as coffee or fruit juice. The sealer’s longevity depends upon the the conditions and maintenance undertaken by Customer. As preventative maintenance, we strongly recommend having us reseal the grout annually.
- Cleaning: Grout Nurse is not liable for missing/cracked grout post cleaning as medium water pressure is in use for proper cleaning and extraction which could remove already cracked and hollow grout. Extra grout repair charges required to remedy these issues in rare cases. Cleaning process does not cause loose/hollow Tile as those are caused by many years of stress & settlement. Grout Nurse cleans to the best of their ability & can not make any guarantees removing permanent Staining in the process. Dirt & Oils on top of Grout will stain Grout over time permanently and therefor recommend recoloring Grout. In rare cases Tile may have grout haze under dirt & requires a second Acid clean for extra charge, if not acid cleaned at original new Install. Customer assumes responsibility for base gaps & improperly painted baseboards. Baseboards should be properly painted underneath and/or caulked/grouted to waterproof. Grout Nurse can not control water going into edges & causing damage/bubbling from improper Floor grading.
- Grout Repair in Settlement Cracks & Edges/Corners: The warranty period for grout repair in settlement cracks & edges/corners is limited to thirty days from the date the work is completed. Grout joint cracks, flaking or caulking cracks are not defects in the materials or workmanship since no grout or caulk has sufficient strength to stop continued settlement expansion or loose baseboards, trims, tiles and/or cabinets.
- Mold, Mildew and Discoloration of Grout and Caulk: The cause and origin of most mold, mildew and discoloration of grout and caulk is moisture behind or under the structure of the tile installation. We can not guarantee against moisture leaks nor stop fungus, mildew or discoloration from moisture. Grout Nurse is not responsible for nor does it guarantee the condition of the pipes or surfaces beneath tiles, walls, floors, showers, tubs or other fixtures which we encounter in performing the work covered by this Contract.
- Liability: Grout Nurse is not responsible for the suitability or function of materials specified by Owner. Grout Nurse assumes no liability for damage to previously re-glazed or painted surfaces and for chipping or scratching on re-grouting work.
Quotes are subject to change upon discovery of work required beyond the Scope of what was seen/written on the Evaluation & Customer requested add-ons. These changes will not be made until discussed & approval of Customer. This can include, but not limited to, removing of topical Sealant off Tile surface that was not identified on the Evaluation & extra Grout repair beyond written and necessary to complete the full restoration Job. We do to the best of our ability to examine everything needed for complete restoration but are sometimes unable to until Machines reveal everything under the dirt.
